Our beloved horse, Elmer, over the last several weeks, has been experiencing on and off lameness in his rear right leg. Despite our best efforts and care, we haven't been able to pinpoint the problem and our vet is recommending further diagnostic testing to determine the root cause.

The transportation, diagnostic testing and potential treatments are costly, and we are asking for your help to cover these expenses. We need to raise $3,000 to cover expenses. Any donation, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in Elmer's journey to healing.

Elmer has brought so much joy and companionship to everyone at Shady Hollow Assisted Riding. He not only participates in assisted, transitional, and traditional lessons, but he also helps to train the volunteers, brings emotional support to people on a bad day as he gives good hugs and exceptional snuggles. His gentle spirit and loving nature have touched the lives of many, and it breaks our hearts to see him in pain.
